Interview
I was able to conduct a phone interview with the head of school, John Gutman. This interview was conducted on October 24, 2012 at 2:25pm.
1. How many students enrolled? 85
2. How many teachers? 2
3. Kids per class? 40 to 1 ratio
4. Rules & Regulations of school? Students have to test, progress, and communicate. They need to stay on track for 1 years of growth or will be withdrawn from the school.
5. School Mission? No (found on website)
6. What makes your school unique? High academics, comprehensive, students are complete schooling for 5 ½ hours a day and interactive whiteboard classrooms.
7. Reasons students are choosing a virtual school? Variety, location, regular public schools not working and parents want more involvement
8. How does the school create student relationships? Events, online clubs. Clubs are: Lego, 4H, chest, foreign language and music.
